Built for people who write in Markdown but need clean Word documents
Markdown to Word helps writers, students, operators, and technical teams turn plain-text Markdown into editable DOCX, DOC, HTML, and PDF files without rebuilding the same formatting by hand.
Document-first workflow
The product focuses on real handoff needs: readable headings, lists, tables, links, code blocks, and images.
Fast preview before export
You can paste or upload Markdown, check the result, and download a file that is ready for review.
Privacy-aware by design
Core conversion work happens in the browser so everyday documents can stay on your device.
Why we built this
Markdown is excellent for drafting. It is fast, portable, and easy to keep in version control. The problem usually appears later, when a client, teammate, teacher, or stakeholder asks for a Word document.
Copying Markdown directly into Word often leaves teams cleaning up headings, spacing, tables, and code blocks. We built Markdown to Word to remove that repetitive work and make the export step predictable.
The goal is simple: keep Markdown as the writing format while making Word, DOCX, HTML, and PDF exports easy to share.

What users told us was hard
Most people were not looking for a complex publishing system. They needed a practical way to move from Markdown drafts to documents other people could open, comment on, and approve.
That meant the converter had to be quick, predictable, and useful for everyday documentation workflows.
- Markdown files often need to become editable Word documents for review.
- Pasted Markdown can lose structure when teams move content between tools.
- Tables, nested lists, links, images, and code blocks need careful formatting.

What we built instead
The product keeps the workflow focused: add Markdown, preview the result, then export to the format you need.
It is built for repeatable document handoffs, not for locking people into a new editor or changing how they already write.
- Multiple input methods for files and copied Markdown text.
- Editable Word exports for review, approval, and collaboration.
- Companion exports for DOC, DOCX, HTML, and PDF workflows.

The standards that guide the product
Every improvement starts from the same question: does this make document conversion clearer, safer, and easier to trust?
Protect the source
Markdown should stay readable before export, and the converted document should preserve the intent of the original content.
Keep the workflow simple
The page should work without unnecessary setup, accounts, or configuration for common conversion tasks.
Respect document context
Reports, notes, specs, and classroom materials all need formatting that helps people read and respond.
